True, but they claim it has a better avoidance curve than any light helicopter.

Helicopters and other VTOL aircraft normally have an avoidance curve. This is the height where an impact is not survivable but below which other procedures like "autorotation" are not possible. Currently we think that with good design and correct flying procedures the avoidance curve can be eliminated. This is one of the reasons we feel that the Jetpack will be safer than current "light helicopters".

Also, it's fitted with a balistic parachute, so basically in the event of a complete engine or blade failure the parachute fires. It's capable of doing so at very low altitudes too, which should help with survivability.

I noticed the days they flew were windless Zeb. I'd say there would have to be huge limitations.
However dropping into EB games for the next release could cause a stir.
