EA sinks to whole new low

Well I'm still in shock after reading this,

EA today announced that the Koenigsegg CCX "Elite" Edition, the first "premium elite" car to hit Need for Speed World, is now available in the in-game store for $100. For those who feel that's a bit pricey, it is currently on sale for $75 through December 21.

Not that I play NFSW but you have to be kidding EA what a cheek, now they have gone and done that I hate to think what the next dlc for bf3 is going to be......let me guess $100 for an elite noob tube

Well, there is quite a few games with in game stores where I'm sure i have bought a collection of even more pointless stuff. Im looking at you TF2, Portal 2. But I still enjoyed it.
Just not in one $100 hit.

Wow - that's ridiculous. I'm guessing it's a test - they want to see how many people will cough up $100 for DLC. If enough people do it, it will influence future pricing.

I'm getting really annoyed at this kind of horse shit. It genuinely upsets me.

or maybe it was meant to be $1.00, but someone put the decimal place in the wrong spot and then some bright spark in marketing said 'wait - let's leave it like that and see how many bites we get '

Nooooooooooooo Wags, if you want that car buy Test Drive Unlimited 2 (TDU2) instead its way better and Steam have it on special for $5 sometimes. I have that car in TDU2 i have a standard edition and I have the carbon fiber edition as a dlc that costs a whole 99cents in that game.

TDU2 is set out on rl life maps to they have all of Hawaii well the main island anyway and another one and it takes hrs and hrs to drive round them both, put it this way I have over 200hrs clocked in that game.

Mp and Sp are one in the same to, so you drive around to do your single player events but at the same time you will see other real players to and you can challenge them in a variety of ways or just go for a cruise about the island, I'm even in a Drink driving Club in game lol and yes we have strict rules about drink driving in game is fine but under no circumstances is it ok to do it in rl.

Hehehe...not really going to buy it.
But for a moment, I thought It would be epic for a laugh. And post it. But of course. Costly. For one, think of all the abuse! Sorry to not make it so obvious.
I'm sure it would be balanced in nfsw. Making it not so epic.

I'm into the more arcade racing games though Arise, Project gotham and the Need for speed (story less) games are more my cup of tea. I need lots of fiction- no crash damage, police stunts, simple handling to keep me most entertained. I'm not sure TDU2 would suit me, is all.

I love the detail they put into the cars In TDU2 though. I swear we talked about it not too long ago. Thats me too. I love a good looking car model
