Sadly, Arise passed away last night.

Dogday asked me to let all Arises mates know that sadly, he lost his battle with leukemia last night. We had all hoped and prayed he was on the mend.
When you think of the gaming community, It's amazing just how much time we spend together and how important our gaming friends become in our lives.
Arise asked us to say a prayer for him when he wasn't well. I think everyone was great with support and good humor to help him along. Now if everyone could say a prayer again, I am sure he would appreciate it.

Edit: As the day goes on I am flawed at just how hard it is to come to terms with someone passing like this in the community.
I tried to write something here but no paragraphs made any sense, I feel shocked actually.

Sad news indeed , you're right about the way we touch each others lives VSync even though most of us don't meet in person we share our lives in some ways more intimately that we would face to face. I'll miss you Arise and the gaming world will be a poorer place without you in it. Rest in Peace my friend.

I was shocked to come by this news its a very sad day, he was a great bloke and ive played along side him for many many years at Man Vs Machine, its where he started to use the name AriseAbove.
Sad to see him go at such an early age.

as sad as the news is, im glad to know, then to not - ive often imagend that many of us are our only link to this community (that is to say, if something bad was to happen to me, who here would know?)
