You learn something new every day....

So after watching the Olympics over the last few weeks a few of my volleyball mates and I were chatting about the good old days, including when we played World Masters in Sydney and one of them mentioned he found a video of us (in amongst all the volleyball teams) when we marched in the opening ceremony into the stadium at Homebush (the one where the Sydney 2000 Olympics were held).

It came as a bit of a surprise that it had even been posted on the internet! If anyone cares, I'm the guy in the black baseball cap at 0m:43s (since Australia begins with the letter A, we were near the front of the march ) The Brazillian womens team were right behind us and by god they were noisy

Yeh that's Dave. He's a character

Plays more beach volleyball than indoor, but he's still good enough to make it onto indoor rep sides.

Oh, I should also mention, we placed third at that tournament, beating Canada for the bronze, which was especially sweet since we had lost a match to them earlier in the competition.
