Weekend Far Cry madness

Howdy all once again.

Please read server details below

Just thought i would drop in to invite anyone that is interested in playing Far cry at all to our server this weekend (or any other time for that matter lol)

ws23ws98 and myself have purchased an awesome server set up for 16 players. we also have a ventrilo server for voice chat (details listed below)

There are a few of us that will be playing tonight and tomorrow night, so feel free to jump on with us and have a bash.

It would be great to play alongside / against you all again.

To play on the FCP server you will need the 1.4 patch, just search far cry 1.4 patch in google and click on the ubi link and download the cumulative patch link

The FCP game server is of course "FCP" password is the same, all in capitals

Ventrilo can be found by searching in google then download the right version for your OS

Sorry about the lack of links folks, but your forum is not allowing me to post them for another couple of days

Once installed you will find our server under the hostname fc.thefcpclan.com
No password is needed as we can boot any unwanted people from it

I got past the server password entering but the old farcry seems to be stalling on 'connecting to server...' Multiple attempts. Times out after 10 min or so. Some problems earlier with 'invalid cdkey' but got past it. perhaps related?

You must have had those same problems when we had them mate. A few of us got the same thing. Turned out that the ubi database was down so no-one could connect to it.

After that was resolved it was game on. We had about 9 - 10 players going at one stage and it turned out to be a fantastic night. Stick with it if youre still interested, it will be worth it if you get in on a game like we had tonight.

I couldnt believe that i saw Silentfox after all these years, still whooping my ass with a pistol.

The battles between him and ws23ws98 were pretty cool to relive again.

I was getting the ubi database thing earlier when logging into the browser too... Eventually it went away. Nah, nah, It was on the farcry internet server browser- I could see the server and enter the password... but thats when it hanged. soo close its frustrating.

I thought it could be the account but logged in the ubi website no probs. And the key went through ok.
